Acorn Lawyers presents two scholarships at the University of Wollongong's Law Awards night 24th May 2017

Acorn Lawyers have continued their support for the University of Wollongong’s School of Law. As part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to education, Peter Williamson (Director of Family Law and Property) attended the University of Wollongong’s School of Law 2017 Awards Night to present Acorn Lawyers Scholarship LLB and Acorn Lawyers Combined Degree Scholarship to two hard working students with a combined value of $5,000.

The Acorn Lawyers Scholarships are awarded to students who have achieved outstanding performance academically (distinction average) throughout the year with specific relevance to subjects including, Contracts, Property and Trusts and Lawyers and Australian Society.

The scholarships are designed to inspire an ongoing commitment to learning in students before they enter the legal profession. Mr Williamson said “All of the students are very enthusiastic and extremely pleased with themselves because of what they have achieved, and so they should. Acorn Lawyers work closely with the university and it is very exciting to see the quality of talent being produced by the University of Wollongong’s School of Law”.

Acorn Lawyers would like to congratulate Paralegals, Harry Thompson and Anna Tomlin who also received UOW awards on the night for their outstanding academic achievements.  Anna Tomlin and Harry Thompson both received Dean’s Merit List awards. Harry was also presented with Harmers Workplace Lawyers Prize.
