Peter Williamson represents Acorn Lawyers at 6th Annual CEO Sleepout in Wollongong

On Thursday 22nd June 2017 36 local business owners and representatives participated in St Vincent de Pauls Society CEO Sleepout at St Mary's Star of the Sea College. The 36 participants, which included Peter Williamson,(Acorn Lawyers Director of Family and Property Law) braved a cold winter's night to sleep homeless to raise vital funds to support the homeless community in Wollongong. Temperatures dropped to below 10 degrees in the early hours of Friday morning, but much to the delight of participants the rain held off.

This was Peter's first year participating in the CEO sleepout, he said "You really get to a first-hand experience of the struggles homeless people go through each and every night, especially during the winter months. Homelessness is something that should not be happening in this great community. That is why Acorn Lawyers have been involved with the sleepout for a number of years".

Peter has raised $1,580 for the sleepout. The funds will go directly into supporting the homeless community in the Illawarra with the majority of money going towards the St Vinnies food Van. The van goes into highly populated homeless areas to provide food, drink and essential support to the homeless community.

Donations are still being accepted for this year's sleepout. If you would like to support Peter, please visit https://www.ceosleepout.org.au/ceos/nsw-ceos/peter-williamson/
