Ellen Goh
Lawyer & Migration Agent

Ellen was admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2011 and the High Court of Australia in 2013. Ellen joined Acorn Lawyers in 2016 after spending 5 years in Sydney as a solicitor for a NSW Government Agency. She recently became a Migration Agent to meet growing demand in this space.

Areas of Practice

Ellen works predominantly in our migration team assisting Ash Agarwal, the senior Migration Agent, and is involved in all aspects of migration law including preparing visa applications and advice.

Ellen commenced her career as a NSW Government solicitor in the areas of administrative law, criminal law and civil litigation where she made numerous court appearances, drafted court documents, conducted legal research and provided legal advice on matters that were run in the Supreme Court of NSW, the High Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. Her time as a NSW Government solicitor gives her an understanding of the internal proceses of government departments and is particularly relevant to dealing with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

Having spent many years as a government solicitor, she transitioned into private practice at Acorn Lawyers to broaden her experience and knowledge.

Ellen has a very good understanding of migration legislation and procedural law which enables her to be able to provide clients with relevant advice in preparing their applications. Ellen takes pride in her attention to detail and her ability to provide quality legal servies to clients efficiently which is consistent with Acorn Lawyers' committment to our clients.
