Kristy was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a legal practitioner in 2006. With over 20 years’ experience in criminal law, advocacy and regulatory prosecutions, Kristy is highly regarded for her strategic approach and depth of courtroom experience. She has worked across a range of senior roles including as a Police Prosecutor, Senior Solicitor with the NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Legal Adviser with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and most recently as a Principal Prosecutor with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.
Kristy brings a unique perspective to criminal defence, having spent much of her career prosecuting complex matters. This experience enables her to identify weaknesses in the prosecution case and develop clear, practical strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients. She works closely with clients to ensure they feel informed, supported and confident throughout the legal process.

Kristy has extensive experience across all stages of the criminal justice process, from investigation and charging through to defended hearings, sentence proceedings and appeals. She has conducted hundreds of summary hearings and has appeared in the Local, District and Supreme Courts, as well as the Coroners Court and various tribunals.
Her experience includes prosecuting serious and complex matters such as sexual assault, armed robbery, drug offences and regulatory prosecutions. She has also instructed Senior Counsel in lengthy and high-profile trials in the Supreme Court.
In her role as Principal Prosecutor with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, Kristy has led complex prosecutions under the Heavy Vehicle National Law, including primary duty offences, and has worked closely with investigators and national stakeholders. She has also provided training to investigators and legal professionals and presented at industry and legal forums.
Kristy previously operated her own criminal law practice, giving her a strong understanding of client needs and the importance of clear communication, practical advice and timely outcomes.
