James joined Acorn Lawyers as a principal in September 2012 and heads-up the firm's litigation group.
After his admission in 1995, following completion of the punishing Solicitor's Admission Board course James worked for several of Sydney's best known mid-tier firms before moving to Wollongong in 2008 to open and manage a regional office for one of those firms. James has an Honours Arts Degree (in Politics & History) from the University of Wollongong and therefore moving back to Wollongong was something of a homecoming for him.
James has been recognized by the Law Society of NSW as an accredited specialist in personal injury law. This means that when clients seek the assistance from James for their personal injury compensation claim, they know they are getting the expert advice they need. One of James' strengths is that he will always review your claim in a positive light even if it has been refused by other lawyers. His expertise has meant that often cold cases have been turned around so that the ultimate reward has been achieved for our clients.
James is the leader of the firms' compensation and personal injury legal team. He brings his wealth of experience to the firm and works closely with the team to ensure that all matters meet the same high standards that James sets for himself.
