University of Wollongong Law Awards 2016

Acorn Lawyer’s very own paralegals, Harry Thompson and Sally Hughes received awards for their outstanding academic achievement at the University of Wollongong Awards night on Wednesday 25th May 2016.

Harry was entered onto the Dean’s Merit List and also obtained the Kells Award for Property Law. Sally was recognised with the Maguire &McInerney Award for outshining her peers in Administrative Law.

Both Sally and Harry currently work in the firm’s litigation team and are in 3rd year of study at the University. Winning these awards is a great achievement and will help them both propel their legal careers.  Acorn Lawyers congratulate them and sincerely hope that the good work continues. 

On the night, Joseph Pokoney, Associate at Acorn Lawyers, also presented 2 prestigious Acorn Lawyers Scholarships worth $2,500 each to Wollongong University students, Aiden Lerch (LLB) and Robert Spinks (combined degree) for outstanding academic performances. Acorn Lawyers congratulate each of these high achievers as well and sincerely hope that the good work will continue.
